When Lincoln went flatboating from Rockport, a biennial historical pageant of the Lincoln family in Spencer county, Responsibility: author and director, Bess V. Ehrmann ; assistant director, Lucile Richards. When Lincoln Went Flatboating from Rockport is a softcover booklet written by Bess V.

Ehrmann. It contains a historical pageant of the Lincoln Family in Spencer County. There were two performances on July 4th, PM and PM. The pageant "When Lincoln went flatboating from Rockport," by Bess Virginia (Hicks) Ehrmann 1 edition - first published in Read Listen.

A high-school drama teacher, she mounted the historical pageant “When Lincoln Went Flatboating from Rockport” in her hometown. She also compiled the only book to emanate from the Lincoln Inquiry, The Missing Chapter in the Life of Abraham Lincoln, [10] a book that recent biographers have used to supplement the Herndon-Weik : John Hoffmann.

He also had an e-mail from a woman who had an original copy of the program booklet from the July 4, pageant, “When Lincoln Went Flatboating from Rockport”, asking if the Society would like to have it.

He told her the Society would be glad to have it and could display it in the Genealogy Room. The village is sponsored by the Spencer County Historical Society of which Mrs. Bess V. Ehrmann is president.

She has taken a deep interest in the work and is our greatest student of Lincoln history, being author of the great Lincoln pageant, "When Lincoln Went Flatboating From Rockport," put on at this place.
